ASTM International has announced the availability of a new risk-based corrective action training and development course for handling petroleum release situations.
The course, which lasts two days and will be run for the private sector in May and October 2009 in Lansing, Michigan, provides a run down of petroleum release scenarios and a standard guide for handling such situations.
It is based on the standard regulatory guidance adopted by 49 states and aims to provide the private sector with an in-depth understanding of the appropriate governmental risk-based responses to petroleum release cases.
"This course can be tailored to your company's needs and can be brought by ASTM International to your site," the company explains.
The firm is one of the largest standards providers in the world and meets regularly with the World Trade Organisation to develop international cohesion and transparency through the promotion of guidelines for industry operations.
It also provides training and development courses for the sampling and evaluation of gasoline, crude oil, marine fuel and diesels.
