Global education standards firm ASTM International has announced the provision of a new training and development course for those interested in the testing, sampling and evaluation of crude.
A framework for technical and professional development, the new course focuses on automated and manual sample gathering, in addition to an examination of methods available to assess the quality of crude finds.
"Laboratory technicians and chemists responsible for crude oil analysis and field personnel responsible for collecting samples will benefit from the course," the company insists.
Students can enrol on the course after completing two years of college-level education focusing on chemistry or environmental science.
The oil training course will be led by instructors with experience in the US Department of Energy, in addition to working in-house with ASTM International.
In addition to the new course, the company has also recently released a new training and development framework for petroleum release emergency mangagement techniques.
