Nautronix and Acergy have got behind a new schools initiative being set up in Aberdeenshire.
The project, established by the Coaching & Training Consultancy (CTC), is designed to provide young people in the Scottish county with the skills necessary to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry.
Ewan Brown, production manager at Nautronix, said that the company will also be recruiting a young apprentice as part of its commitment to promoting skills in the region.
"We recently opened our doors in Westhill to more than 350 pupils for an Energy Day and we hope that this joint project will help to further inspire them in their future career choices," added Graham Meil, managing director of Acergy UK.
CTC has also recently announced that it is partnering with the Open University to offer accredited training modules including workshops, learning sets and coaching at no extra cost to its clients.
