Aberdeen-based qedi will train an additional 60 members of staff over the next 12 months as the company delivers on two multimillion-pound contracts signed with BP and Shell.
The two companies have selected qedi to assist with safety and management processes with the installation of its Go Technology software for use throughout both firms' exploration and production operations.
Commenting on the contract, qedi managing director Stuart Macleod said: "Technical integrity is a top priority in the oil and gas industry and our world-leading commissioning technology means that operators can have confidence in their systems to ensure that integrity."
With the technology essentially pre-approved for all upstream operations, qedi is expected to invest in training on an international level, adding to staff numbers at its regional offices in Azerbaijan, Dubai, Nigeria, Brazil, the US and Kazakhstan.
All training will be carried out in pursuance of the company's health, safety and environment standards, which are based on communication, information, identification and assessment.
