Absoft's IT resources for mid-market companies operating in the energy industry make it easier for firms to keep track of oil training standards.
Commenting on the signing of a contract with Gulf Offshore, Absoft's business director Don Valentine said that by unifying training and development logs with other IT systems such as payroll and human resources, Gulf Offshore will be able to track and standardise its oil training programmes more easily.
"Typically, organisations use different systems to record training and skills assessment information," he said.
However, Mr Valentine explained that by streamlining their IT resources they are able "comply with health and safety regulations, meet the requirements of service level agreements and improve performance" more easily.
Gulf Offshore specialises in delivering drilling materials, supplies and personnel to offshore rigs around the world, including facilities in south-east Asia, Brazil, west Africa and India.
It promotes itself on its specialised fleet and the highly skilled workforce which man the vessels.
