Several senior managers at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries have been awarded certifications from Sun Learning Systems (SLS) and the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM).

At a ceremony last month, around 15 managers were awarded the coveted Certified Manager credential after completing an intensive training programme organised by the two companies.

"The Certified Manager programmw is important for managers in today's business world, especially with the global slowdown during which many companies find it difficult to motivate staff," said Nigel Fann, chief executive officer of SLS, speaking at the event.

He added that the training and development programme offers the core competences for managers to strengthen work ethics and their own leadership potential.

ICPM has worked with a long line of sector leaders in industries such as aerospace, healthcare, manufacturing, military and pharmaceuticals, as well as the oil and gas industry.

It has also worked with more than 20 universities to deliver its leading management training services and accreditations.
