Binary University (BU) Malaysia and UAE-based Al Khawarizmi International College (KIC) have signed an agreement that will allow students at the KIC to transfer to the Malaysian university more freely.
Students at KIC - which has provided computational training and development programmes for more than 40,000 individuals and employees of all the world's energy firms - will now be able to transfer to BU Malaysia after two years of study.
"It opens up an exciting opportunity for our students to continue their higher education and complete a bachelor's degree at one of the premier colleges at Malaysia," said KIC chief executive officer Naeem Radi.
He said that this will be particularly useful to prepare students to cope with future industry demands.
KIC was founded in 1985 to provide diploma and higher level training and development opportunities to address national IT graduate shortages.
It also cooperates with Liverpool's John Moore University.
