Global geodetics software supplier Blue Marble has announced that it will run a week-long training schedule for workers in the oil and gas industry and other core sectors such as mineral exploration and mining.
Held in conjunction with the fifth annual Map Middle East Conference in Dubai, the seminars are aimed at both entry-level workers and experienced geospatial mappers in need of a refresher course.
While providing an introduction to the principles of the geodetics industry, the courses will also provide a practical opportunity for workers to familiarise themselves with Blue Marble's leading software suites, which are utilised globally by the oil and gas industry, universities, civil engineering firms and governmental institutions.
"Here is a chance to not only educate oneself on the foundations of geodesy and mapping concepts, but also learn how to harness the power of Blue Marble's suite of geospatial solutions," the company insists.
Blue Marble first offered a training and development programme in 2004 to address the lack of formal geodetic training among geographic information system specialists.
