Aberdeen-based Bristow Helicopters has invested in new training and technology initiatives to improve safety standards in all areas of operation.
Fiona MacLeod, Bristow's commercial manager for Europe, explained that safety is placed at the core of the company's operations.
"It is essential that none of us become complacent about safety and as a result we continually strive to improve our safety culture by investing in training and new technology," she said.
In pursuance of this, the company is implementing a new initiative that bar codes maintenance tools, trialling a new system to improve flight safety, embarking on major research and development projects and introducing special helmets to protect engineering and maintenance staff.
The Scottish company has a growing presence in international markets and is established in North and South America, Europe, Africa and South East Asia.
Bristow's operations are set in two segments: helicopter services and production management services.
