Aberdeen-based CETCO has confirmed that it has entered into a water treatment deal with Libyan partners operating in the oil and gas industry.
In addition to providing leading-edge waste water treatment technology to APSCOP, the group will also extend training and development programmes to local employees in order to expand the skill set of the local community.
Commenting on the agreement, Nick Joujou, CETCO Oilfield Services' business development manager for Libya said the deal was an important landmark in the company's international development.
"We have achieved very positive results with the company's diversification into Asia and the Middle East and this contract allows us to bolster our international workforce whilst also giving back to the Libyan community," he added.
Meanwhile, Mr Fathi A Moftah, CETCO's Libyan representative and managing director of APSCOP, said that he is particularly pleased that the Aberdeen-based group has iterated its commitment to the training and development of local workers.
CETCO provides a range of waterproofing and drilling products for the upstream oil and gas industry, while also serving other key sectors such as mining and manufacturing.
