CLS Offshore, an expanding design, fabrication and engineering firm based in Yarmouth, Norfolk, has announced plans to move into specialist safety training as part of an ambitious growth strategy.
The Eastern Daily Press reports that the company expects turnover to exceed £10 million this year and is looking to reinvest heavily in the business to ensure stable growth in the years to come.
Furthering this, the group has plans to open a second office in UK offshore oil and gas industry hub Aberdeen, in addition to building specialised height training facilities.
Managing director Steve Johnson said he expects the company to be inundated with contracts in the coming years.
"When a rig is closed down completely, the sea bed has to be left as it was - so over the years and decades there will also be a lot of final decommissioning work on platforms," he said.
CLS achieved ISO accreditation in October 2002 and is currently working to secure PED Module H accreditation, which will allow it to apply CE Marking to piping systems where appropriate.
