Specialist analysis software firm Caesar Systems is seeing strong business growth during the recession as oil and gas companies look to understand their operations more thoroughly.
Speaking to Digital Energy Journal, Victor Koosh, chief executive of the software, training and consultancy firm, said that the company's services help firms to understand the risks and rewards of specific operations more clearly.
"Decision making gets a lot more complicated when you have to make commitments without having good answers to the right questions. If you ask the wrong questions then no tool in the world will make them right," said Mr Koosh.
He added that during a recession, the company's tools and services have proved popular with oil and gas companies examining their bottom line more closely.
In the first four months of the year, Caesar had already booked more business than it did throughout the whole of 2008.
Among the big names drawn to Caesar are Anadarko, BP, Talisman, CNOOC and ConocoPhillips.
