Caesar Systems and Decisions Frameworks have announced that they will enter a cooperative agreement to extend training and development opportunities for the upstream oil and gas industry.
In a joint statement, the companies said that the PetroVR and DTrio software suites would help to improve workflow management and decision making practices in the upstream industry.
The suites will also allow energy firms to develop tailored oil training programmes for staff in order to improve decision quality.
"Our commitment to expand professional staff, coupled with new strategic alliances with well regarded firms such as Decision Frameworks, positions Caesar Systems to deliver integrative solutions faster and on a broader scale," said Caesar chief executive Victor Koosh.
He said that improved decision making is becoming increasingly important to the upstream industry, which is exploring ever more complex fields and extraction processes.
Caesar was founded by Jerry Blinten, who worked in upstream operations for 25 years before developing a prototype of the risk analysis software while working with Amoco.
