Major projects in the Alberta oil sands are to use a new initiative from dominKnow Learning Systems.
The Safety-Know-How scheme is a customisable learning and training collaboration with North Safety by Honeywell.
It has been designed to provide oil and gas education and training to help firms ensure they comply with regulatory requirements and will be on display at the Oil Sands Tradeshow and Conference this week.
The Safety-Know-How initiative covers health, safety, environment programmes, including safety communications, training, incident management, personal protective equipment procurement and due diligence reporting.
Pierre Van Neste, director of new business development for North Safety by Honeywell, comments: "Safety-Know-How provides our clients with a better ability to access to powerful training and HSE tracking and management solutions for prime and sub-contractors on large infrastructure projects regardless of organisational boundaries."
This week Petrofac signed an agreement with e-learning company Atlas Interactive to enhance training.
It announced that the deal will enable firms to fast-track the learning process on the key topics required for working in the oil and gas industry.
