City College Brighton and Hove has been extending its ties with Saudi Aramco to provide instructor training courses and other educational opportunities.
Four employees from Saudi Aramco, the largest oil firm in the world, recently enrolled in the college to develop teaching competencies in their specialist areas in order to lead in-house training and development for fellow workers.
"It was a good experience to benefit from the expertise at City College and I'll do my best to use this new knowledge when Im teaching back in Saudi Arabia," said Saad Al-Qahtani, who teaches gas and oil operation engineering for Saudi Aramco.
Meanwhile, City College principal Philip Frier said that the cooperative framework with Saudi Aramco is a key contributor to its international student body of over 600 people.
Saudi Aramco has long been committed to the country's Saudization programme, which aims to increase sustainable industry and promote independence by training more domestic workers to fill skilled positions in the oil and gas industry and other key sectors.
