Drillers.com has successfully re-launched with an expanded training suite featuring modules designed to allow oilfield services firms to react nimbly to the adverse economic conditions.

The company has developed a series of "Just in Time" training modules, each of which lasts 15 minutes and provides a refresher in topics such as kick tolerance and buckling.

"In the current economic climate, oil companies must cut costs and people development usually suffers. Drillers.com can replace some traditional classroom training with on-line modules," said Steve Devereux, founder of the website.

The site has a user base of 6,700, with registrations increasingly rapidly since the re-launch of the site. It is primarily used by consultants, toolpushers, drillers, drilling engineers, service company engineers, government agencies and drilling contractors, in addition to training and development services firms.

Drillers.com also offers MathCAD functionality to allow oil services professionals to carry out fully auditable calculations online.
