Egypt Liquefied Natural Gas (ELNG) has announced the completion of its inaugural health and safety partnership programme with GE Oil & Gas Global Services.
The two companies, building on a longstanding cooperative framework, enacted the programme at ELNG's processing plant in Alexandria, aiming to consolidate health and safety management processes at the facility.
Employees at the site were put through multiple training programmes to improve health and safety awareness in areas such as vehicle operations and the use of personal protective equipment.
Adnan Z Abidin, chief executive of ELNG, commented: "We are delighted with the outcomes ... The impact has been a significant step-change improvement, embedding the new program right across our business."
GE Oil and Gas Global Services has its regional base in Qatar, complementing a network of service centres that can also be found in hubs such as Edmonton, Houston and Venezuela.
In addition to technical oil and gas training, the company also provides monitoring systems, transactional and contractual services.
