Global process management firm Emerson has announced the opening of a new technology centre in China to provide hands-on training to serve customers in the region.
The Asia Flow centre in Nanjing significantly boosts the company's presence in the region and will train workers in process automation techniques to serve the oil and gas industry, as well as refining, marine, life sciences and metals and mining firms.
In addition to producing leading-edge flowmeters, the 12,500m site also houses an interactive training and development centre.
"The Asia Flow Technology Centre substantially enhances our ability to offer technologies that deliver value and unparalleled plant performance for our customers," said Steve Sonnenberg, Emerson Process Management president and business leader.
In other recent developments, the company has recently published its 2009 educational services global course catalogue, allowing personnel to locate their nearest training and development centre and enrol in a course to further their career within the industry.
