Aberdeen-based oil and gas services firm EnerMech has signed a new deal with contractor Saipem to provide training services worth £1.4 million.
EnerMech's training division will work with Saipem contractors to improve health and safety on construction and pipelaying vessels, offshore drilling rigs and land-based drilling projects around the world.
The company has a number of OPITO-accredited oil and gas training centres in the UK, covering areas such as crane driver assessment, rigging and lifting, banksman and slinging, scaffolding, working at height awareness and many other safety categories.
Phil Caton, EnerMech general manager for training, said: "Since we first started working for Saipem in 2006 the relationship has grown in tandem with our expertise in being able to provide a broad range of safety and competency training on a global basis."
The company has also signed a new agreement with RidgeGear this week to service and distribute the company's working at height products.
