Aberdeen-based EnerMech has seen demand for its specialist safety training services increase dramatically in recent months, with training specialists and assessors being posted all over the globe.
Phil Caton, EnerMech's general manager for training, explained that training specialists will play a vital role in strengthening the oil and gas sector in countries such as Nigeria and the Ivory Coast.
"With many years of experience working in the oil and gas industry, [trainers] are now passing on this knowledge to others to promote a good safety culture at all work locations," he commented.
The company currently has three highly skilled training specialists onboard the Abo floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel in Nigeria, while training exercises have also recently been carried out on the FPSO Espoir in offshore waters of the Ivory Coast.
EnerMech was established in April 2008 and focuses on providing safety training to the oil and gas industry that is both customer-driven and highly responsive to the needs of the sector.
