Aberdeen-based EnerMech has signed a new agreement with Saipem to provide health, safety and competency training for both onshore and offshore workers.
The company will targeting construction and pipelaying vessels, offshore drilling rigs and land based drilling projects as a first priority, supporting operations in Holland, Saudi Arabia, Angola, Republic of Congo and Singapore.
Commenting on the new deal, Phil Caton, EnerMech's general manager for training, said: "Since we first started working for Saipem in 2006 the relationship has grown in tandem with our expertise in being able to provide a broad range of safety and competency training on a global basis."
He added that that the two companies have worked together to implement a training matrix that is responsive to the needs of the entire business.
Saipem is an Italian listed firm that focuses on both onshore and offshore drilling, as well as vessel construction and research and development.
