Training for the oil and gas sector in Egypt is set to receive a boost thanks to a new partnership between Eni and the country's ministry of petroleum.
A number of different initiatives are set to be followed, covering exploration and production of natural gas and hydrocarbons, and education and training.
"Eni and Egypt's ministry of petroleum recognise the importance of education to enhance the level of independence of Egypt's oil and gas sectors. Eni will place its infrastructure and Eni Corporate University at the disposal of the ministry," the Italian oil company said in a statement.
The university will be used for the implementation of a joint education project, the company added.
Work on the exploration and production of hydrocarbons and natural gas will extend Eni's existing operations in the country.
Earlier this month Eni confirmed the start of its Bridge to Innovation project, which is designed to further current research projects in the energy sector.
