The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has awarded three senior Expro employees trainer status, allowing the company to develop in-house oil and gas safety training programmes.
With the certification under its belt, the oilfield services firm will be able to host the five-day Managing Safely course at regional bases across the globe.
"Expro has developed a world-class reputation for performance in health and safety management, and our ability to develop our people through this industry-recognised training further enhances that reputation," commented David Ford, Expro's global health, safety and environment quality control manager, and one of the three newly certified trainers.
Headquartered in the UK, Expro employs around 5,000 people across 50 countries, delivering solutions and products to measure, improve, control and process flow from high-value oil and gas wells across the globe.
Mr Ford concluded that the new oil and gas training programmes will allow employees working in high-pressure environments to make confident, assured decisions that are right for the task.
