General Electric (GE) has declared that it will embark on a large-scale recruitment drive to attract talented UAE nationals and expats living in the emirates.
The company is canvassing in the country for the third consecutive year and is offering jobs not only in the oil and gas industry, but also in fields such as aviation, healthcare, utilities, media and finance.
GE is also highlighting the opportunities available for young graduates through its internal fast-track career development training programme.
Nabil Habayeb, GE's president and chief executive officer for the Middle East and Africa region, commented: "Through our diverse businesses and strong public-private partnerships, we aim to empower the local population. Regarded as an employer of choice, GE already has a strong workforce in the region."
Meanwhile, French energy group Technip has also today (October 21st) stated that the UAE's oil and gas industry will offer around $21 billion worth of contracts over the next nine months as it eyes rapid growth in the sector.
