General Electric's Oil and Gas University has hosted a graduation ceremony in Florence for 26 students from 20 countries enrolled on its energy training courses.
The global oil and gas giant collaborated with energy industry experts and university professors to develop a six-month training programme focusing on all areas of the energy industry, from upstream exploration to processing and refinement.
Piero Salvadori, president of the GE Oil and Gas University, said that the course focuses on expanding skills and core competences for talented young students from around the world.
"We're very pleased to have completed this fifth GE Oil & Gas University course, which has helped to reinforce our friendship and partnership with many of our key global customers," he added.
The course is open to technical students under the age of 32, with international oil and gas companies providing sponsorship for the course fees.
Students must also be fluent in English.
