GE has announced that it is launching its trademark Oil and Gas University course in Abu Dhabi next month.

The company will offer the course from February 14th to 29th at the Petroleum Institute in the UAE capital and will focus on providing world class managerial and technical training for those working in the oil and gas industry.

Mohamed Ayoub, operations leader and regional general manager at GE Oil and Gas, commented: "By bringing the GE Oil & Gas University here for the first time, we are reiterating our commitment to further strengthen our relationship with the Emirati industry."

He added that the rapid rate of technological development in the oil and gas industry enhances the need for professionals to enrol in such courses to ensure that their company can compete effectively.

The Petroleum Institute was founded in 2001 and counts the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company among its sponsors and affiliates.
