Canadadian oil and gas major Harvest has re-pledged its commitment to excellence in health, safety and environmental training in its annual results for 2008.
The company announced that it achieved operating cash revenues of C$655.9 million (£361.9 million) for the year, a figure which was comparable to the C$641.3 million tallied up in 2007.
Upstream activities proved a ballast to their operations and overall results, although the gains made in exploration and production were offset in part by a loss of profitability in downstream sectors and a high settlement price on risk management contracts.
Commenting on its commitment to safety excellence, Harvest announced: "Our business units conduct emergency response training on a regular basis in all of our operating fields to ensure a high level of response capability when placed in challenging situations.
In the third quarter of 2008, the group's cash operating activities totalled C$208.9 million, buoyed in part by the record rally in oil prices.
