UK-based oil and gas industry equipment manufacturer Honeywell has launched the new XNX universal transmitter, a gas detection mechanism that has been designed to simplify gas training procedures.
The company claimed that the product combines all industry-standard detection technologies including including point flammable detectors (both catalytic and infrared type), toxic and oxygen electrochemical cell type detectors and open path infrared detectors.
All such detection standards are accessible by one integrated user interface which helps to simplify setup and maintenance.
"XNX can further reduce both installation and ongoing costs by providing common tools, common interface and common spare parts, allowing the device to deliver ease of operation," the group added, explaining that this will make safety training easier to administer.
Honeywell has also recently released the LYNX Plus alarm system with similar strides made in efficiency of use.
The company claimed the new model is easier to install than previous systems, simplifying end user training in all deployments.
