Industrial Training International (ITI) has announced the opening of a new crane and rigging training centre in Memphis, Tennessee, in a further expansion outside of its Washington base.
Serving industrial customers across a broad range of sectors including oil and gas, mining, electric utility, hydro, wind and nuclear energy, the training centre will be based at Barnhart Crane and Rigging, according to Memphis Commercial.
Barnhart's corporate training manager Darrell Uselton explained: "Because our training centre is so new, we thought we could share some equipment and share some of the costs and increase both of our exposure in the training world."
As a result, both companies expect to experience a boost in client volumes and exposure, he added.
ITI has been in operation for 25 years, providing training in inspection, certification, lift planning and heavy equipment, as well as its core rigging and crane services. The company also offers a range of distance learning solutions to international clients.
