Irkutsk State University in eastern Siberia will benefit from the support of Paradigm, which will supply its students with world-class oil training software.
Paradigm announced last month that it will donate its signature well log and petrophysical analysis software to equip Irkutsk enrollees with the skills necessary to excel in the oil and gas industry.
"Now more than ever, Russian oil and gas companies are using modern well log software and equipment, which require trained industry experts," said Nikolai Baransky, Paradigm regional vice-president.
He added that by providing students with a practical grounding in the use of new technologies, Paradigm is investing in the future of professionals in the oil and gas industry.
In November, the company also laid down a challenge to Innocentive's Solver community to develop an advanced approach to fracture net representation in line with its signature 3D analysis software.
The company claimed that the move promoted collaboration and innovation in the wider upstream oil and gas industry.
