Representatives from Abu Dhabi travelling to Liverpool have expressed an interest in increasing collaboration in the provision of practical training and development programmes, in addition to working together on numerous other action areas.
The Liverpool Daily Post reports that the delegation, which was mainly comprised of heads of various government departments, expressed a particular interest in learning how Liverpool had effectively brokered integration between public and private enterprise.
John Pincock, 2020 Liverpool managing director, explained that there was a focus on "on the job" training and development cooperation, which could result in student exchanges across a range of industries including the energy sector.
"Everyone will recognise, in these times particularly, the value of dealing with sovereign petroleum states and we are working closely with all of these states," he said.
Meanwhile, the Dubai Industrial Academy has recently announced that it will begin accepting interns from a number of energy firms working in the region including Dugas and Enoc.
