Marathon has once again called on Christie to deliver next-generation display solutions for its upgraded visualisation centre.
Based at its headquarters in Houston, the Visionarium has been used to give employees a realistic visual analysis of complex geologic formations to aid the company in its ambition to achieve greater upstream success.
Christie has been the preferred supplier for the projectors and screens in the training suite since 2004 and is now providing the very latest additions to its product line to deliver an immersive training and briefing environment.
"Marathon's upgrade to the Christie Mirage HD projectors and the Vista Spyder is an innovative step that speaks to its technological leadership and reflects its confidence in our integrated solutions," said Zoran Veselic, vice-president of visual environments at Christie.
Among Marathon's recent upstream successes is the discovery of sub-salt oil in Angola Block 31, which is located around 250 miles off the country's coast.
