MyCelx and Siemens have completed an agreement designed to improve water efficiency in oil removal and separation process in the Saudi Arabian oil and gas industry.

Under the new partnership, Siemens will maintain an inventory of MyCelx products for its customers in Saudi Arabia, allowing the industry to use scarce and expensive water supplies more efficiently.

MyCelx products have been developed to allow the oil and gas industry to recycle water used in cleaning and separation processes on both onshore and offshore platforms.

Filtration and Separation reports: "The proprietary technology makes it possible to achieve stringent offshore discharge limits as well as treat oily wastewater by making it suitable for feed to a reverse osmosis system."

MyCelx also offers technical training programmes and engineering support services to ensure its products are used in the most efficient and secure manner.
