A new oil and gas training centre is to be opened in Nigeria, creating jobs and offering courses.
The skill centre will be situated in Ipara and has been set up by the Falck Nutec and Prime Atlantic partnership.
Staff from Falck Nutec's training centre in Aberdeen will take up some of the 50 new positions at the facility, where international training opportunities will be on offer.
The partnership expects 4,000 to use the centre every year, with onsite accommodation available.
Chairman of the Falck Prime Atlantic operation Derek Sinclair stated: "The newly built world class training facility will serve the oil and gas industry, including the major producers, refineries, Liquefied Natural Gas [LNG] plants and service providers."
He added that Nigeria was a big name in the oil and gas industry and that the new facility is well positioned to serve the industry's needs.
Falck Nutec announced earlier this year that it had acquired Aberdeen's Onsite Training Services.
