Seasons Greetings from the whole Getenergy team. 2010 is going to be a really exciting year for education and training in the oil and gas industry. With the widely anticipated increase in the oil price and the manoeuvring of IOCs who are competing for greater visibility in the ‘learning space’, we should see some major announcements in Q1 of 2010.

However, before we get into the details of Getenergy’s activities in 2010, we’d like to tell you a bit about 2009. Since the global event in London in March this year, we took a major step in our business plan; namely expanding our reach dramatically into emerging markets where oil/gas and education and training are central to economic success.

So, I’m proud to report the major success of that new part of the Getenergy business plan. Starting with Iraq, Getenergy now has national/regional marketplace events in several countries which will be at the heart of the oil/gas and education and training business in the coming years.

Istanbul, October 2009: Getenergy for Iraq 2009

Bahrain, November 2009: Getenergy for the GCC Countries 2009

Tripoli, December 2009: Getenergy for Libya 2009

In each case, these will now become established events and all are going to be booked up many months in advance. In addition, Getenergy is extending your access to the global market for education and training in oil and gas by partnering with leading societies and other events which we believe offer an important venue for those concerned with learning. 6th Global Education and Training event for Upstream Oil & Gas. Kuala Lumpur. 23rd – 24th March 2010.

The annual event which links education and training with the oil and gas industry is now in its 6th year!

A new approach! – On the 22nd March, the 6th Getenergy Global Education and Training Event will begin with “one-to-one” meetings for all of our Learning Arena exhibitors and with Training Directors from a global selection of national and international oil and gas companies. This first day will give our exhibiting education and training providers the opportunity to make those all important connections in addition to the two days of exhibitions and exchanges.
