UK-based training provider for the oil and gas industry Oilennium has announced the development of a new minimum industry safety training course for Petans.

Kevin Keable, managing director of Oilennium, said that the MIST courses are a key requisite component of a safe offshore oil and gas industry in the UK.

The course runs for two days and provides intensive immersion training in how to work safely on rigs and platforms.

Mr Keable also expressed his commitment to providing an interactive and lively learning experience which cuts down on the number of tutor-led visual presentations.

"We worked hard to create a lively learning experience; one that ensures that every delegate will walk away with a solid foundation in safety as they embark on a career in the industry," he said.

Oilennium recruits its training staff within the oil and gas industry to ensure that modules are practical, relevant and engaging.

Other courses run by Oilennium include first aid, firefighter training, nitrogen services and leak detection.
