The UK's only integrated Emergency Response Service Centre (ERSC) has passed a recent quality audit.

Run by oil and gas education provider Petrofac Training, the Aberdeen centre provides a range of customers within the oil and gas industry with an integrated response capability.

In order to pass the ISO 9001 standard, auditors had to obtain an understanding of the ERSC's quality management systems and the nature of its business.

The audit shows that the Petrofac Training centre has met the ever-growing customer needs for the highest level of excellence in the oil and gas industry.

Mike Comerford, Petrofac Training regional director for Europe, said: "We are delighted to receive this quality and assurance certification which demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement to work within the industry."

This week Petrofac Training announced it had entered into an agreement with e-learning firm Atlas Interactive to deliver courses to the international oil and gas industry.
