Petrofac has signed a new management solutions contract with BP that will see it provide high-level administrative training for the company's North Sea employee base.
The new $5 million (£3.56 million) contract will cover identification and assessment of training requirements, procurement of the necessary facilities and course materials and scheduling of the training and development programme.
"This is a significant contract and we are delighted to be able to replicate the good work we have previously carried out for BP in the Gulf of Mexico and Sharjah, in the UK," said Petrofac Training's service development director Peter Conner.
BP's human resources director Ken Boyle added that the training and development package will allow the company to maintain its strong operational performance in the North Sea.
In other company developments, Petrofac also recently won an engineering, procurement and construction contract for the El Merk central processing facility in the Berkine basin in Algeria.
