Petrofac's training and consultancy arm has signed a global agreement with e-learning company Atlas Interactive.
The deal will enhance Petrofac Training's ability to deliver generic and customised e-learning courses to the international oil and gas industry, the firm says.
It will give customers access to Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and technical learning programmes, an internet portal, results tracking and learning management system.
This will enable them to fast-track the learning process on the key topics required for working in the oil and gas industry, according to the company.
"Operating across the world, both Atlas Interactive and Petrofac are focused on delivering first-class HSE and technical training to the oil and gas industry," said Tim Love, senior vice-president of global sales and marketing for Atlas Interactive.
Petrofac employs more than 10,000 people and operates 24 offices worldwide.
It reported a net profit of $188.7 million (£101.63 million) in 2007.
