Oil and gas industry tech firms RSI and SPT Group will work together on the development of new dynamic lifecycle simulation training suites.

Collaborating in fields such as marketing and sales, joint offerings, project execution and technology collaboration, more than 300 employees of the two companies will share the skills and experience in flow assurance, process, control, reservoir, drilling, programming and ICT.

Knut Erik Spilling, senior vice-president for e-field solutions in SPT Group, commented: "RSI fits very well into SPT Group's partner strategy - actively building the market for integrated solutions for design, training, online monitoring and control."

Meanwhile, Yves Herve, RSI's sales and marketing director, said that the new partnership will provide "win-win opportunities" in the upstream oil and gas industry.

SPT Group has also this month been selected to deliver a new production management system for StatoilHydro's subsea fields in the North Sea.
