Samir Al-Fouzan Group (SFG) will team up with Geofizika Croatia to provide oil training services for Saudis focusing on conducting seismic testing for the oil and gas industry.
The Saudi-based company has signed an agreement with the Croatian firm that will result in the development of technical competences that will allow workers to serve the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
Geofizika and SFG will now get to work in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and will build a number of training and development centres in the area in partnership with Saudi Aramco.
Commenting on the new contract, Samir Al-Fouzan, president and chief executive officer of SFG, said that the new contract will build on its considerable expertise in the Gulf.
"We have had wide experience in the field of seismic technology, having undertaken many projects in the region, including Saudi Arabia," added Geofizika director of geophysical services Dragan Susac.
In addition to its work for the oil and gas industry, the Croatian firm also operates in water and mineral exploration, environmental study and geophysical engineering investigations.
