Exploration and production company Safer, operator of block 18 in Yemen's Marib field, has prioritised robust oil and gas training since it began operating in the field in 2005.
The Yemen Observer reports that in line with this continual commitment to knowledge sharing, the company signed a new agreement with the Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology to train Safer staff in the fields of safety, fire fighting and rescue at the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology.
With the training completed, the company has now taken operatorship of an airstrip which will be used to taxi Safer workers and partner company employees to and from rigs in block 18 of the offshore Marib field.
In line with its mission statement, Safer is currently undertaking 2D and 3D seismic mapping evaluations of the Marib field to assay total reserves, while also supporting technological growth that will enable the firm to maximise recovery.
