Saudi Aramco is enjoying improved reliability and operational performance after the completion of three major upgrades to the Ras Tanura Sea Islands 2, 3 and 4 loading facilities.
The Saudi Press Agency reports that Aramco carried out the three upgrades simultaneously, installing new control systems and firewater protection, as well erecting new tower cranes.
A commitment to safety training also helped the company to maintain a 100 per cent safety record during the project, which took more than two million man hours to complete.
Speaking at a recent recognition ceremony, Hassan J. Al-Zahrani, general manager of northern area project management for Saudi Aramco, praised the workers for their dedication and cooperation in completing the upgrade.
Saudi Aramco's workforce oil and gas training programme is one of the largest in the world and covers all facets of personal and professional development, including degree funding, management and leadership training and advanced medical training.
