Mustang International is set to acquire a majority stake in Al-Hejailan Consultants' business thanks to the creation of a new joint venture.

As a result of the project, which will see some $11 million be invested in the region, a range of services, which may include training, will be offered.

Mustang Al-Hejailan Engineering will offer a range of services, focusing on engineering and project management within Saudi Arabia's oil and gas, and chemical, industries.

Steve Knowles, president of Mustang, said: "The formation of Mustang Al-Hejailan Engineering gives us the opportunity to create a world-class international engineering capability in Saudi Arabia."

He added that the new development will allow for the delivery of sustainable practices in a range of areas.

President of Al-Hejailan Faisal al-Hejailan was also positive about the benefits that the new partnership could bring.

Earlier this year, Mustang received Chevron's Gold Star Award for Safety Excellence as a result of the commitment to high safety standards, often achieved through rigorous training.
