Senergy has stepped up to meet the growing need for carbon capture technologies with the establishment of a groundbreaking training programme for the UK oil and gas industry.
The company predicts that the carbon capture sector will need to grow as quickly in one year as the oil and gas industry has grown in five and it has delivered the new training schedule to orient energy sector workers with a grounding in the importance of integrating carbon capture technology into their operations.
Mr Hughes, carbon storage specialist at Senergy, explained: "This course will give an overview of what carbon storage is, how it works, the impact it will have on the oil and gas industry, the geology and risk involved, trapping mechanisms and engineering requirements."
The courses will begin on March 19th and will run throughout the year in both London and Aberdeen and are geared towards energy industry executives, managers, financiers, technical staff, government advisers and politicians as well as journalists.
Senergy also runs a leading consultancy service to help integrate carbon capture storage systems into existing facilities.
