International engineering and construction firm Subsea 7 has been awarded the Oil & Gas UK Award for Supply Chain Professional Development, it has been announced.
The awards, which aim to promote talent in the oil and gas engineering industry, were held on Wednesday evening (November 12th) and also celebrated the company's work in business innovation.
Kurt Normann Nielsen, managing director of Maersk Oil North Sea UK, commented: "It is important for the industry to celebrate technical excellence and encourage the new ideas and new ways of working that will drive forward progress and rise to the challenges of the future."
Subsea 7 has over 5,500 workers posted around the world, with strong operations in the North Sea, north and central America, Brazil, Africa and Asia Pacific.
The company promotes itself on its ability to attract top talent and encourage a strong commitment to training and development among its workforce.
It has attracted in excess of 1,000 new employees in the past year.
