The UK's largest oil and gas training provider has won a new consultancy contract with the Kwara state government of Nigeria, it has been announced.
Under the terms of the contract, the group will assess the feasibility of establishing a new training and development centre in the state to serve the oil and gas industry and encourage local employment.
"TTE has a long-established relationship with Nigerian industry delivering skilled technicians to the oil and gas sector, so we are very pleased to be given this prestigious opportunity," said Phil Blewitt, commercial business director of TTE Technical Training.
The company currently operates two oil and gas training centres in the UK and has an overseas presence with academies developed with partners in Baku, Azerbaijan and Dubai.
Among the firms using TTE's training services are blue chips like Shell, BP, SABIC and Corus.
In addition to Nigeria, the group also runs vocational training courses in Oman, Libya, Equatorial Guinea, Qatar and many others.
