Total Waste Management Alliance (TWMA) has expanded its course offering at its Aberdeen headquarters with two new modules covering emergency rescue and high-pressure water jetting.
Sandy Mackay, TWMA's health and safety trainer, commented that the new modules will adhere to strict safety and best practice guidelines to serve its clients in both the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry.
"We have a customised training exercise tank, which is housed in our Aberdeen HQ and enables 'realistic' practical tank entry and emergency rescue situations to be simulated during the training process," she commented.
As well as two additional UK bases in Peterhead and the Shetlands, TWMA also operates in Egypt, Nigeria, Norway, USA, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai and Libya, employing around 310 people worldwide.
In July, the company completed a £1.7 million infrastructural development project at its Peterhead base, with a new laboratory, improved offices and a new industrial waste compactor helping to support continuing growth in demand for its services.
