| Arkhangelsk State Technical University provides training in Russian according to a 5-year degree programme of specialists (engineers) for forestry, forest-harvesting, pulp-and-paper, woodworking, energy and building companies, open pit mining, oil-and-gas engineering. Postgraduate courses are provided to180 PhD students. The university has agreements for cooperation with 25 universities from 8 foreign countries. Starting from September 2006 a new specialization «Development and Operation of Offshore Oil and Gas Fields» was realized at the University under the support of “StatoilHydro”. Professors of the University of Stavanger (Norway) provide lecturing in 8 courses within the specialization in Arkhangelsk. |
