With an increase in investments in downstream activity, a fundamental challenge has arisen linked to the creation of a trained and capable workforce. Given the strictures of local content policies in many hydrocarbon rich countries, companies and governments are seeking to recruit, train and retain people living in the country concerned.

Global demand for trained engineers and technicians is intense and the challenge has never been greater for human resource managers, plant managers and those responsible for the strategic development of Refining and Petrochemical facilities.
